Mindfulness and The Lotus Place
Where Counseling and Mindfulness Meet
If you've spent any time in therapy with me you've probably noticed that mindfulness isn't just something I recommend, it's woven into how I work. That's not an accident. Mindfulness has been a genuine part of my own life for years, and during one of the most challenging seasons I've experienced personally it became my anchor. It helped me slow down, stay connected to myself, and find clarity when everything felt uncertain. That experience is a big part of why I bring these practices into my clinical work and why I eventually built an entire space around teaching them.
What Is The Lotus Place?
The Lotus Place is my mindfulness meditation practice, separate from but deeply connected to my counseling work. It's a space designed to support your journey toward greater presence, balance, and well-being through workshops, retreats, and guided meditations. The offerings there are rooted in compassion and grounded in practical, accessible teachings that don't require any prior experience with meditation or mindfulness.
As a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, trained under Tara Brach, PhD and Jack Kornfield, PhD, I bring the same depth of training to my mindfulness teaching that I bring to my clinical work.
Who Is The Lotus Place For?
You don't have to be a therapy client to benefit from mindfulness practice, and you don't have to be a meditator to benefit from therapy. But for many people the two work beautifully together. If you're curious about developing a mindfulness practice alongside your therapeutic work, or simply want to explore what mindfulness has to offer outside of a clinical setting, The Lotus Place may be a natural next step.
